Kevin always knew he was different, even as a child he knew. Girls never cared about him for anything more than playmates or regular friends, and while he loved girls, it just wasn’t like the others. He always knew he was probably gay, but when you’re young, you don’t really understand all the feelings and emotions growing up in you when you grow up. To show affection? That was something Kevin couldn’t even understand in his little middle-class middle-aged middle of the western town, next to whom would he show that affection? For all he knew, he was the only gay kid in his entire school, and no one suspected he was gay, and he wasn’t about to come out when he thought even his parents wouldn’t understand, so the feeling that he’d gotten lonely. He was definitely looking forward to his first year at State U, to make sure he found others in the same boat as him! The first few weeks of student life were hectic to at least say what with 20,000 students in one place was overwhelming. This was the first time Kevin had ever been alone for a long time, but he could easily settle in a comfortable routine and even start making some friends in his classes and in his dorm. His roommate, Tom, was a freshman from Chicago, so many nights were spent telling each other in each other’s home. Kevin had to admit Tom’s stories were much more interesting than his. Tom seemed to tell enough stories about the girls he was with and the wild sex they had together. Lucky for him, Tom wasn’t really trying to rub Kevin’s personal background so Kevin didn’t even have to lie about exploiting the other sex!
